I have always cherished working with others to help them achieve a well-balanced lifestyle and to promote their overall sense of emotional well-being. I am passionate about helping others discover ways to empower themselves in order to take charge of areas in their life they wish to improve. I believe the therapeutic relationship is essential to the change process and believe in fostering an atmosphere where clients feel validated, cared for, and supported during life's challenging moments.
My clinical experience focuses largely upon mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and attachment trauma. I currently hold certifications as an Grief Informed Professional and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. In addition to these areas of expertise, I also enjoy working with adolescents, college students, neurodiversity, as well as men’s concerns such as learning to connect with emotions and finding effective ways to communicate with loved ones.
I am committed to ongoing supervision and attending clinical trainings to continue gaining valuable tools and knowledge regarding areas of trauma-informed care. Utilizing a polyvagal trauma-informed treatment approach, I believe in exploring past history of trauma at a pace my clients set and feel comfortable with. I will provide guidance, encouragement and teach skill sets along the way for my clients to work through their trauma in a comfortable, safe, and supportive environment.
Using evidence-based treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy as well as polyvagal theory and mindfulness, my goal is to help empower clients to achieve their goals and alleviate distress in presenting areas.
I am humbled by my clients and the courage it takes to explore their lives in the pursuit of becoming stronger, healthier individuals. If you're ready to make positive lasting changes in your life, I'm eager to assist you on this journey.
